Top Most Beautiful Garden of Marrakesh

Marrakesh's most beautiful gardens
The Majorelle is one of the glories of Marrakesh. The garden may be small, less than half a hectare, butit packs a big punch with its series of mini landscapes taking the visitor on an unforgettable sensory journey from cool dreamy calmto hot prickly frisson. The eponymous garden is the chef-d’oeuvre of Jacques Majorelle, painter, plant collector and scholarly enthusiast for the culture of Marrakesh and the Sahara region, who opened the garden to the public in 1947. In 1980, it was bought by the French couturier Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre BergĂ©, who saved it from destruction by speculators.

Marrakech’s most beautiful gardens
Angelia Gray, author of new book  Gardens of Marrakesh , picks her favourite gardens in the city.  Nicknamed ‘the rose among the palms’, the thousand-year-old city of Marrakesh is characterised by its its deeply rooted tradition for gardens and green spaces. The majority of historic sites are inextricable from their gardens – or indeed are historic green spaces: the huge royal orchard pleasure-gardens of the Agdal were described by Monty Don as ‘of international cultural importance on a par with Versailles or Villa d’Este

Riu Tikida Garden
Fantastic time at the Riu Tikida Gardens could not fault it great food ,staff ,room etc. Will return as soon as we can. Excellent value for money.I stayed at the Riu Tikida Gardens at the beginning of May with my girlfriend for an all inclusive week break. The hotel was very compact with a beautiful garden. Rooms were kept clean and supplied with shampoo etc. and clean towels and nobody harassed us for a tip. First time in Morocco and so we played safe with all inclusive. Hotel was nice with Arab styling, but once inside the gated grounds no clues you are in Marrakech itself

Most beautiful garden ever
You have to plan this must-see during your tour of marrakech. The garden is planted with so many different kinds of cactus, the colors are amazing and it offers a nice retreat from the maze of the medina.Pretty garden, pleasant way to get away from the bustle for a while but not a 'must see'. i found it hard to fault this garden. it was fantastic. very quiet and sedate among the normal madness of the city. This is a beautiful place to visit for some quite time apart from the chaos of the medina. I truly recommend the visit!

Hotels opens property in Marrakesh
Hotels & Resorts is now present in Morocco, too. The Kenzi Menara Palace in Marrakesh has operated as a member of the hotel chain since the start of April. With its proximity to the historic centre and its location within a large garden complex with pool,The garden of the French painter Jacques Majorelle is a work of art that also inspired Yves Saint Laurent. My tip is to plan plenty of time for a visit to the garden so you can enjoy the calm atmosphere on one of the many park benches or in the pretty courtyard of the cafĂ©.”

Garden of Marrakesh
After yet another bitterly cold week, who doesn’t fantasise about relaxing in warming sunshine and lush gardens? Open this volume of rich, European Cultural Walking Tours  exotic photographs of beautifully tended gardens, some public, others hidden behind thick ancient walls in the bustling city of Marrakesh and you can almost taste the mint tea.The vivid blue of Jardin Majorelle, above, is just one temptation of many

The Gardens of Marrakech – in pictures
Marrakech is famed for its pink-hued historic buildings and souks, but just as important to the city are its beautiful gardens. From the lush courtyards of its riads to the expansive formal gardens of its palaces and museums, these green spaces are havens from the hustle and bustle of the city. A Garden from Paradise
There is a small museum too which is themed on the Berber peoples. This delightful garden was created in the 1920s/30s. You can imagine te painter, Majorelle, wandering the grounds. If I return to Marrakech I would certainly revisit the Majorelle Gardens. We loved Marjorelle Gardens. Please check out my travelogue for the full story. I enjoyed it because of the vibrant colours, cactus gardens, water lily pond and quaint shady paths.
